Description:
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Part-Time File Clerk in MASON, Michigan, 48854-1651, United States. As a File Clerk, you will be a fundamental part of our team, playing a crucial role in the legal field. Your tasks will involve visiting local courts, reviewing court filings, collecting and scanning legal documents, and interacting with court personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly visit local courts to review court filings
- Collect and scan legal documents based on established requirements
- Interact with court personnel to ensure appropriate and timely access to relevant documents
- Maintain an accurate database of legal documents for client access
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for administrative tasks
- Conduct legal research as necessary
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise between the team and court personnel
- Utilize typing skills to accurately input and update data
- Apply knowledge of Civil Litigation during the review of court filings
- Use computer research skills to verify and update court filings information
- Role requires familiarity with Civil Litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential
- Typing skills with a focus on speed and accuracy necessary
- Knowledge of Legal Research methodologies is desirable
- Proficiency in Computer Research is expected
- Exceptional Communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
- No specific years of experience required, open to all levels of expertise
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of employment without restrictions
- Candidates should have a customer-focused mindset and a dedication to providing exceptional service
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment is essential
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are necessary
