Final Inspector 1 (GY shift)

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the world’s mining and exploration industry. We are seeking for Final Inspector 1 in Richmond, BC.

GENERAL SKILLS

• Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently
• Basic computer abilities. Able to use computer to record data.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high-quality standards
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide constructive feedback
• Good eyesight and steady hands.

• Execute Inspector 1 operations according to works orders and ensure that all duties and tasks are performed according to safety and quality standards and SOPs.
• Inspect in-process production diamond bits to ensure they meet required specifications and standards
• Read and interpret charts, technical drawings and specifications to access product quality
• Use precision measuring instruments such as digital calipers and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Use of a torque wrench to perform bonding strength testing.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections on products to identify defects, non-conformances or deviations from standards
• Document and report inspection results, recording any defects or issues found during the inspection process
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures
• Perform finishing processes (Patching, Engraving, Painting)
• Perform general housekeeping, keeping work area clean. Completing tools cleaning tasks and routine maintenance work as assigned.
• Any other duties required by leadhand.
