Description:

Most tasks and responsibilities will require your dedicated contribution as part of a team, but individual initiative will be encouraged.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Processing of journals
  • Reconciliation on balance sheet accounts
  • Ensure accuracy in all financial documents and assist with document saving on the shared drive
  • Assist with computation of company corporate income tax, dividends tax & deferred tax
  • Support Accountants with IFRS 16 new leases, derecognitions, modifications
  • Petty cash management
  • Assist foreign payment documentation preparation
  • Assist with preparation of external audit documentation.
  • Participate in the audit process and help ensure compliance with financial regulations
  • Assist with annual financial statement preparation on Draftworx
  • Assist with month end, year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with year-end stock taking process and physical asset verification
  • Assist with Adhoc technical matters faced by the accounting function
  • Ad hoc accounting duties

Qualification and Experience

  • B Com Accounting, BCompt
  • Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles and or honors are an added advantage.
  • Computer literate in MS Office which includes Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • A basic understanding and knowledge of the regulatory requirements impacting on the mechanical industry, although not a prerequisite.
  • 0-1 years working experience.
