Description:
Most tasks and responsibilities will require your dedicated contribution as part of a team, but individual initiative will be encouraged.
Responsibilities Include:
- Processing of journals
- Reconciliation on balance sheet accounts
- Ensure accuracy in all financial documents and assist with document saving on the shared drive
- Assist with computation of company corporate income tax, dividends tax & deferred tax
- Support Accountants with IFRS 16 new leases, derecognitions, modifications
- Petty cash management
- Assist foreign payment documentation preparation
- Assist with preparation of external audit documentation.
- Participate in the audit process and help ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Assist with annual financial statement preparation on Draftworx
- Assist with month end, year-end closing processes.
- Assist with year-end stock taking process and physical asset verification
- Assist with Adhoc technical matters faced by the accounting function
- Ad hoc accounting duties
Qualification and Experience
- B Com Accounting, BCompt
- Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles and or honors are an added advantage.
- Computer literate in MS Office which includes Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
- A basic understanding and knowledge of the regulatory requirements impacting on the mechanical industry, although not a prerequisite.
- 0-1 years working experience.
