Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River. The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations. This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner. CPB Contractors are currently recruiting an experienced Finance administrator to support the Paradise Dam Improvement Project team. This is a permanent fulltime role, Monday to Friday with ongoing career opportunities, based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Paradise Dam Improvement Project - Project overview - Sunwater

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the project team in multiple areas of both the Finance and Commercial space.
  • Assist the finance team in the preparation for End of Month requirements.
  • Coordination and administration of financial reporting deliverables.
  • Ad-hoc support to the project Finance team as requested to assist with achievement of daily tasks and reporting obligations.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate financial reporting deadlines and timelines.
  • Management of invoice payments for relevant Finance matters using Oracle.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Minimum 3 years accounting/finance experience working with a Tier 1 construction company.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft office, experience in JDE, Oracle preferable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully and autonomously within a project environment and deliver on deadlines.
  • Experience in end of month reporting, claim submissions, purchase orders and procurement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion in relation to confidential information.
