WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND SHOW

• Demonstrate finance analytical skills.
• Able to produce financial information in a user-friendly manner.
• Ability to deal, reconcile and analyse large volumes of data and simplifying the processes involved.
• Able to work to tight deadlines, whilst ensuring accuracy
• Living the Sainsbury’s goals & values
• Core understanding of accounting and reconciliation requirements
• Advanced Excel Skills
• Either qualified (preferable) or at the advanced stages of study towards CIMA, ACA, ACCA accountancy qualification
• Experience in a retail business desirable but not essential
• Given the size of the role and the volume of activity, it would best suit an existing C4 looking to broaden their experience into a more challenging and bigger area.

• Take responsibility for the period end processes and reporting for Capital and support in the monthly forecasting process.
• Responsibility for Periodic Latest View processes for Capital to facilitate short term planning and ensure alignment across Business and FP&A teams.
• Challenge current processes and look for continual ways to improve efficiencies and control.
• Support with the Corporate 5 Year Plan, Budget and any Capital Rationing Exercises required by Group Capital
• Periodic Analysis of the Feasibility P&L Code to ensure all costs that can be capitalised are moved to relevant CPAR’s.
• Support consolidation of reporting from Property & FM finance teams into periodic performance pack, including overall commentary on key focus areas
• Deal with any ad hoc queries/reporting requests from the commercial Property team and be a confident Business Partner
