About the Job
As an Finance Analyst in a fast-paced tech company, you will support the day-to-day month-end, analyze financial and operational data to provide insights, and assist with the budgeting and modeling process.
Please note the preferred location for this role is Vancouver or Victoria (office based in Victoria), BC but we are open to hiring remotely within BC, Canada.
Some tasks you’ll be taking on
Assist and support the Senior Accountant with the end to end month-end closing process, gaining foundational knowledge for financial reporting and analysis.
Managing the billing process with our enterprise customers and ensuring prompt cash receipt.
Prepare board reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial communication.
Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analysis to provide insights on key drivers and budget variances.
Support the budgeting process, including preparation, analysis, and presentation of budget data.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and interpret financial results, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models and cash forecasting.
Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance department.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Ideally, you should have
Between 2-4 years of experience in accounting and or finance
Independent and self-motivated learner, capable of working effectively in a remote setting
Accountable and reliable, taking ownership of responsibilities and deadlines
Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
Team player who is willing to help others
Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changes resulting from the recent merger
Advanced Excel skills, and proficiency in SQL (desired but not required)
Holds a degree in business, accounting, or finance, providing a strong foundation for the role
