The Finance Analyst ANZ is responsible for managing the finance partnering activities of Disney Streaming Services (DSS) in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ). The role contributes to consistency in all P&L related submissions to local management, Regional Finance, and US Finance as required. Submissions will include 5YP, annual budgeting, regular forecasting, quarter close activities, and reporting on financial, revenue and other KPI’s.
This role will assist with the complex financial management and commercial support for local ANZ content, including original productions, original development, 3P Licensing and acquisitions, as well as supporting Brand marketing and Content marketing processes.
The role reports to the Senior Finance Manager, DSS but is accountable to local DSS leads in the capacity of a finance partner, as well as collaborating with finance partners locally, regionally in APAC, and globally. Additionally, the role will work closely with local controllership to maintain the integrity of the GL, ensuring the appropriate financial controls and accounting policies/processes are applied within the business unit.

Ideal experience:

  • Finance, Accounting or related undergraduate degree
  • Preference for candidates undergoing or having completed post-graduate qualifications in accounting or business
  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis, planning and budgeting
  • Interest in the Media and Entertainment landscape, and Streaming/Subscription based businesses is essential
  • Production Finance experience highly regarded, or experience working in/with Marketing Agencies
  • Experience with SAP and COGNOS is beneficial
  • Experience with Tableau, Looker or other data analysis/visualisation tools is beneficial
