    Mō te tūranga | About the Role
    We’re looking for two Finance Analysts to support the Treasury Finance team and play a key role in implementing the Treasury Finance processes to support the delivery of the Finance transformation.
    We have both a permanent role and fixed term 12-month opportunity available.
    As the Finance Analyst, you’ll work with the Head of Treasury Finance, to interrogate, understand, analyse the treasury activities (funding, liquidity, investments) and the settlement of financial risks.
    There will be opportunities to contribute to bank wide projects, implement regulatory reporting changes and improve current processes to achieve efficiencies and productivity gains for the team.

Key tasks will include:

  • Daily control, analysis and reporting activities, including, balance sheet movements, liquidity reporting, Interest rate risk reporting including Gap analysis, Stress testing, Value at Risk (VaR) analysis, Funds Transfer Pricing.
  • Month-end close tasks, such as core reconciliations, trade reviews, capture and analysis of market data.
  • Monthly preparation of detailed analysis and reporting, including exposure to core balance sheet reporting on funding and preparing the BS13 liquidity returns for the RBNZ.
  • Prepare deliverables for other areas of the Finance team, including Disclosure Statements and contributing to reports produced by the Regulatory Reporting team.
  • Provide analysis, insights on Treasury Interest rate risk hedging activities and funds transfer pricing for forecast/planning activities.
  • Generate and present financial results to senior management with clear explanations on movements, key drivers and trends that have influenced results. This includes writing insightful commentary clearly articulating drivers of business performance, interpreting KPIs and contributing to presentations at meetings.

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?

  • CA or CFA qualified, or working towards completion
  • Experience in corporate Treasury roles, either - Transaction banking products and services, debt and hedge facilities administration, Treasury accounting, or Treasury operations processes
  • Experience within the Financial Services industry with an understanding of the banking environment
  • Good understanding of accounting for financial instruments
  • Strong Power BI, SQL and/or Excel experience would be beneficial
  • It will be your curiosity and passion for understanding the “why” that will ultimately drive your success!
