Join Miwatj Health as a Finance Officer and contribute to the delivery of Indigenous primary health care by ensuring the efficient management of financial services. In this role, you will:
- Handle accounts payable and receivable tasks
- Reconcile banks and manage debtors
- Liaise with staff, creditors, and debtors to resolve discrepancies
- Manage payroll processing and provide support to payroll team members
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
- Offer relief support across the finance team

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a candidate who understands and is committed to Aboriginal Community Control and self-determination, with insight into the challenges faced by Yolngu people in remote settings. You must have at least one year of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-cultural environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential, as are attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency in computerised finance systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook, is also required.
