Description:
A prominent Digital agency in the UK is currently on the lookout for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team, which is committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions to a wide range of clients. The ideal candidate for this remote position should possess a minimum of three years’ experience including bookkeeping, accompanied by advanced proficiency in both Excel. An Excel assessment will be a critical part of the interview process.
This role requires proven expertise in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring that the candidate can effectively manage financial records with precision and accuracy. Given that this position allows for the convenience of remote work, the successful applicant should be equipped with their own laptop and a reliable internet connection to facilitate smooth communication and productivity. Key responsibilities in this role include managing and maintaining accurate financial records using Xero, processing invoices, payments, and receipts, as well as reconciling accounts to guarantee the integrity of financial data. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with preparing financial reports, aiding in budgeting and forecasting tasks, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures, which are essential for the agency’s financial health. Assisting with payroll and employee expense reimbursements, monitoring and tracking company expenses, and communicating effectively with clients and vendors about their billing and payments are also pivotal components.
Maintenance of accurate company ledgers, administering daily cash flow, and managing debtors effectively will ensure that the finance department operates seamlessly. The Finance Assistant will also be encouraged to utilize Excel and other tools to streamline financial procedures and enhance overall administrative efficiency, while being prepared to take on ad hoc duties as required by the management team. QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years experience including bookkeeping is required.
- Exceptional proficiency in Excel, particularly with advanced functions, including pivot tables (mandatory skill, an Excel assessment will be a critical part of the interview process).
- Xero account experience will be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial activities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
