Description:

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING:

  • A Levels or equivalent
  • Part qualified or a desire to study for a recognised accounting qualification
  • Experience working in a Finance Assistant / Administration role
  • There is an option to complete further study via an apprenticeship for any candidates seeking further qualifications.

SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

  • Good IT skills and a desire to develop these further (Microsoft Office & Accounting software)

ABILITIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proactive, motivated, organised, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail with a right-first-time attitude
  • Confident personality with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and develop in the role
  • General understanding of business and accounting functions
  • Be an ambassador for the Club presenting the Club in a positive image at all times.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This is a Full Time Role
  • There is an option to complete further study for any candidates seeking qualification or further knowledge.
  • This is a 24 month fixed term contract
  • Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the automated accounts payable system (Stampli), including purchase order matching, coding, and invoice approval.
  • Review and process purchase and sales orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Process all staff expense claims in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile and process corporate credit card expenditures, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with the group bank reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage group debtors and creditors, monitoring and chasing outstanding payments as necessary.
  • Support audit and financial reporting requirements, providing necessary documentation and assistance as needed.
  • Manage finance and payroll inboxes in Outlook, responding to queries and requests promptly.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required by the finance team or wider business, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
