Description:

Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a rapidly growing organisation based in Portsmouth to recruit a Finance Assistant. The Finance Assistant will receive a salary of up to £30,000 along with other attractive benefits including a generous pension and hybrid remote working!
This is a varied position and would suit an individual looking for a role in a ‘down to earth’ working environment

Primary responsibilities;

  • Sales Invoicing: Prepare and issue sales invoices, ensuring reconciliation with the sales system and timely delivery to clients.
  • Accounts Payable: Verify the accuracy of purchase invoices and statements, ensuring payments are processed on time and posted correctly in the payables ledger.
  • Expenses Management: Post employee, coach, and facilitator expenses into the accounting system accurately.
  • Collaborate with global finance colleagues to ensure the accuracy and integrity of intercompany transactions, maintaining compliance with internal standards.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes, including accruals, prepayments, journal preparation, and reconciliations.
  • Support additional projects and tasks as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of finance operations.

Key experience and attributes;

  • Multi-Currency Transactions: Proven experience handling and accurately posting multi-currency transactions.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Comfortable processing and reconciling intercompany transactions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment where priorities and tasks can shift frequently.
  • Attention to Detail: Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Team-Oriented Approach: Willingness to support colleagues and foster a collaborative environment.

Desirable -

  • Languages: Business level French or Dutch would be an advantage but not essential.
