ABOUT US

UCL Finance is divided into 4 Directorates: Management Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Finance Business Partnering and Financial Services. They are responsible for the management of UCL’s financial performance and strategy and for the provision of services and advice.
This job is based in the Management Accounting team. The Directorate leads on management accounting, internal management reporting and compliance reporting to our regulators.
The Management Accounting Directorate currently has a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in Accountancy and Finance.

ABOUT YOU

To do this job you’ll need GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, and be interested in a career in accountancy. You’ll have experience of working in a service environment and strong teamworking skills. You’ll also be organised, with excellent IT skills including advanced knowledge of Excel and a good all round knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this job you’ll be responsible for general accounting and transaction processing and ensuring the accuracy of UCL’s projects and general ledger. You will need to deliver an excellent customer service responding promptly to requests, including identifying and initiating improvements to financial systems, processes and workflows. You will need to work closely with other colleagues in the operational finance team to support the delivery of day-to-day finance services across UCL, including the posting of journals, account reconciliations, invoicing and purchasing.
