Finance Assistant

The Role
We are looking for a confident, self-motivated person to assist with credit control, assist with chasing clients for tender feedback and liaising with Engineers for project updates linking with financial claims. We require an organised person who can work well within a small diverse team, have initiative and be a good communicator. Finance experience is desired but not essential with a willingness to learn attitude

Experience:

  • Finance: 1 year (preferred

Responsibilities:

· Processing supplier invoices
· Reconciling statements
· Credit control
· Query invoice resolution
· Ad hoc financial functions to assist the Finance Director
· Assisting with VAT returns
· Credit card statement reconciliation and inputting and Employee expenses
· Petty Cash reconciliation
· Accounting reports for project profitability
· Chasing retention payments
· Construction Industry Scheme returns
· Trade account applications
Skills & Experience Required
· Good IT skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Keen to learn and work with a growing team
· SAGE experience, or such like is advantageous but not essential
Training will be provided
