We are currently seeking a highly motivated Finance Associate to join our expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key part in shaping the financial future of the company in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You’ll collaborate closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity and help drive the company’s strategic objectives forward.

Tasks

  • Budget Planning & Financial Modeling: Lead the development of detailed financial models in partnership with management and cross-functional teams to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Cash Flow & Budget Management: Update and refine quarterly cash flow forecasts and perform monthly budget vs. actual analysis, ensuring financial performance aligns with business targets.
  • Payment Oversight: Manage and streamline all payment-related processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution, and oversee the control of payments related to bookings in collaboration with the supplier team.
  • Cost Management: Proactively track division spend, monitor financial performance metrics, and provide insights to optimize resource allocation across company units.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements in line with accounting standards, coordinating with external bookkeepers and other financial partners.
  • KPI Reporting: Prepare monthly KPI and management reports, as well as board-level financial presentations, ensuring accurate and timely insights into business performance.
  • Point of Contact for Cash Flow Procedures: Serve as the primary contact for payout procedures, ensuring all cash flow-related activities are managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaboration with External Stakeholders: Liaise with auditors, accountants, tax advisors, and legal counsel to ensure compliance with financial regulations and the smooth functioning of financial audits.
  • Process Improvement: Help establish and improve internal workflows for budgeting, reporting, and approval processes to enhance operational efficiency and financial transparency.
  • Investor Relations Support: Assist the CEO in managing investor relations, providing insights and financial data to stakeholders and preparing reports for fundraising or capital discussions.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years of financial experience in a leading audit firm, investment banking, or a similar role in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Education: A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An advanced degree or certification (e.g., CFA, ACCA) is a plus.
  • Financial Modeling Skills: Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial modeling and budgeting processes. Proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with IFRS and other relevant accounting standards is required.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in German or French is an added advantage.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence business decisions.
