JOB DESCRIPTION

Following an internal promotion, the Finance Business Team at South Cambridgeshire District Council has a vacancy for a Finance Business Manager. This is a one-year fixed term contract with a possible extension.
We are looking for someone with drive, initiative, and confidence to join our Finance team to lead the financial management support and provide high level finance business partnering advice and support throughout the Council. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing organisation and be an integral part of shaping and growing the Finance Business Team.
As a key member of the Corporate Management Team, you will be the Councils Deputy S151 officer and manage the Finance Business Team to provide strategic planning and support to all directorates in a business partnering approach. The role will include leading on the preparation of budgets, budget monitoring, preparation of annual accounts along with supporting managers to deliver financially sustainable services through the provision of high-quality financial advice and support.
This is a high-profile role and requires good collaborative skills to ensure finance services provided are professional and client driven. We are seeking an individual who is an experienced manager and is motivated by delivering outcomes and changes to making a genuine difference.
