The Finance Business Partner - Food and Accommodation will develop insights which would support commercial decisions made by the ALH Food and ALH Accommodation teams. The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for the commercial budget and forecast, and ensuring a high level of data integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the weekly and monthly performance reporting insights, including clear communication of the key drivers of performance.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and commercial recommendations on category pricing, ranging, promotional activities and supplier contracts to drive improved key metrics.
  • Proactively communicate commercial impacts on past and future activities.
  • Develop initiatives to improve visibility and accountability of category sales and profit.
  • Play the role of ‘commercial advisor’ to Heads of Business Partners, including supplier negotiations and discussion.
  • Provided assessment of risks and opportunities against financial targets and provide recommendations for mitigating actions.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager with any ad-hoc information and decision support, for any commercial and strategic initiatives in the Hotels business.
  • Support the preparation and submission of the annual budget and forecast (when required), including ensuring they are understood and owned. Ensure alignment to strategy.
  • Work with key stakeholders (Hotels Commercial, Operations and FP&A Finance Teams, as well as Hotels Management Accounting Teams) to ascertain P&L line items and cost control measures and resource requirements.
  • Managing category costs against budget/targets and assisting key stakeholders to monitor budgets/targets at all levels.
  • Key member of the broader finance team strengthen ways of working with Operations / FPA and driving team culture.
  • Improve team ways of working by introducing innovative analysis, systems efficiencies, improving processes and providing constructive challenge to all areas.
  • Proactive approach and a willingness to work across all areas of the business.
  • Communication across multiple groups within finance and the wider business.
  • Work across Finance to implement best practices and improved ways of working, systems and processes.
