Essential Job Functions
- Create monthly reporting, freight journal entries, analytics, controls, and compliance
- Drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives
- Perform operational and financial analyses on freight lanes and other key cost inputs
- Present findings and recommendations to decision makers at corporate and business unit level to improve profitability, processes, and reporting
- Implement internal controls on carrier selection, billing processes, weight discrepancies
- Create regular reports on operating metrics and costs and present to business unit leaders
- Enhance and leverage Power BI Dashboards that create key metrics to drive operational cost savings and visibility for business units
- Maintain and create annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes across business units by working with cross-functional business partners
- Perform budget vs. actual variance analyses and freight analyses versus current bid rates
- Create process for managing inbound freight – support automation efforts, create controls and correct operational issues as needed
- Manage process metrics and implement data tracking tools with OTM systems team to support process improvements
- Provide guidance and direction to improve operational and financial performance.

Qualifications•
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5-8 years of accounting and industry experience
- Exposure to logistics strongly preferred
- OTM (Oracle Transportation Management) system (or similar transportation system) experience preferred.
- CPA a plus
- Highly organized and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic, ability to lead people and teams
- Strong and proven interpersonal and communication skills demonstrating
- High energy with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Entrepreneurial spirit that can hold people and teams accountable to drive results
- Process driven thinker that can create KPI’s to drive results
- Demonstrated experience with Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Databases and ERP systems (SAP/JD Edwards)
