POSITION SUMMARY

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting and finance operations within the continent’s administrative offices, ensuring adherence to company processes and policies, as well as compliance with US GAAP. Additionally, the position is responsible for conducting detailed reporting and analysis to meet business requirements and supporting local financial reporting for the EMEA administrative entities, alongside assisting with general entity-related administrative needs.
This role contributes to the development and implementation of strategies that ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services, aiming to meet or exceed the expectations of division leaders, department heads, office associates, and MI Corporate.
The General Ledger Accountant plays a crucial role in advancing key finance initiatives that align with the Continent’s and MI’s strategic goals, enhancing internal controls to minimize risks and protect company assets.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Have at least 1-year working experience in UK finance or accounting department
  • Have permanent Right to Work in the UK (without the need for sponsorship)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks in line with business objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Strong command of the English language, both verbally and in writing, is a must.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • College or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Qualified Accountant (in UK or Germany) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, including experience with USGAAP.
  • Experience working with accounting software, PeopleSoft (Oracle) preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
