Finance Data Engineer
Lloyds Banking Group
Bristol: Hybrid working arrangements - 2 days per week in the office and the rest from home
Salary & Benefits: £68,202 to £83,358 per annum (experience dependent), plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, flexible benefits package, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

We’re the Finance Data Team! You’ll be a standalone Data Engineer within the finance platform. We’re current going through a huge digital transformation to move from SAP Financials to Oracle Fusion and need to recruit a data engineering expert into our team.
Our new Data Engineer will help our platform deliver business value through fully rounded engineering methods and technologies, ensuring platforms and software are built consistently with relevant patterns and practices.
What will you focus on in this role?
As a Finance Data Engineer in the Finance Data team, you will be working with various stakeholders in the development of a new Finance data model, predominantly working with finance subject matter experts and other multi disciplinary project staff who will be defining both data mapping and downstream consumption and integration requirements.
We’ve just invested in a new tool to improve our data lineage called Informatica and need someone to come on board and be the subject matter expect for the finance platform.
You’ll support and improve our financial reporting, allowing us to understand the reference data sources with a higher degree of speed & accuracy.
You’ll act as the point of contact for queries around the system and associated reporting.
We have quite a complex structure, so you’ll also support the coordination of activities across teams.
So what experience & skills do I need to apply?
Lloyds Banking Group is made up of people from a range of roles and industry backgrounds, for this particular role we’ll be looking for the following within your application;
- Career background as a data engineer or related role working at the mid – senior level already.
- Practical experience of cloud services at scale, ideally Google Cloud Platform but can consider other cloud platforms.
- Familiar with Finance/Accountancy data/systems, specifically general ledger information would be ideal.
- Good understanding Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
- Desirable would be exposure to Informatica tool.
