Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The BTR (Build to Rent) Finance Director will form a key part of the regional management team, supporting the business in delivering on our ambitious business plan. The role will oversee the regional finance function and managing a small team, assisting in the implementation and development of the BTR IT module within our main ERP system COINS, implementing financial controls and continuing to initiate and proactively drive change throughout the business with determination and focus. This is in effect a brand new business stream for us so experience of scaling up companies would be very desirable.
Whilst we support flexible working this role will be predominantly office based in our stunning Altrincham office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Play a key role in the strategic direction of the business unit as a key member of the BTR board, with 2 distinct business streams under the Dandara Living brand
  • Financial leadership of the business unit including raising awareness of financial implications of decisions, proper record keeping and adherence to regulatory and internal policies
  • Work closely with the CEO to drive financial discipline across all functions.
  • Prepare business plans including options and scenarios to drive strategic decisions, including monitoring and driving improvements to return on capital
  • Drive the development of the core IT system – Coins
  • Assist in the preparation of, and challenge assumptions in, new development appraisals
  • Control and drive cash forecasting in the business unit, setting targets and developing meaningful management information.
  • Manage the local finance team, developing the individuals with career plans, coaching training.
  • Develop processes and policies within the business unit, sharing best practice across the group.
  • Financial modelling and insightful management information
  • Drive overhead efficiencies across the Dandara Living entities
  • Work closely with the Commercial Director and project teams to identify, quantify, monitor and effectively manage risks & opportunities.
