We are currently recruiting a Finance Director, EMEA CRM, based in Zaventem, Belgium.

EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

• University degree in economics and/or accountancy, or equivalent subject/experience required
• MBA or CPA preferred
• Highly experienced in Financial Planning and Analysis.
• Solid knowledge of Abbott CRM and Abbott Corporate planning and reporting processes
• Profound knowledge of Abbott’s Financial Policies and Procedures
• Strong Business Acumen and knowledge of commercial aspects
• Analytical ability to “get behind the numbers”, summarize complex data sets in clear and concise presentation formats and challenge countries and areas in planning process
• Set clear objectives and strategies in line with overall business objectives and strategies
• Strong networking capabilities and interpersonal skills (i.e. strong influencing and inspiring skills)
• Managing complexity in an international environment
• 10-12 years management experience in business controlling and financial analysis and budgeting within Abbott (country and/or headquarter)
• International experience (assignments in various countries and/or regional HQ function)

• Directs a range of financial planning and analysis activities through a team of managers
• In addition to the day-to-day managerial function, the role will incorporate strategic and policy development aspects that will have medium term consequences on the operation of the function and perhaps impact elements of organization performance
• Key member in the formulation of the Financial Planning and Analysis strategy, policy, and procedures
• Responsible for the implementation of company-wide Financial Planning policies and procedures
• Solid budget and actual reporting processes in place (incl. data accuracy and commentary focused on business trends and dynamics)
• Build a solid network of contacts/resources across functional areas, divisions and geographies
• Have a solid succession bench with “ready now” candidates for Controller and Finance/FP&A Manager positions
• Provide financial strategic direction and council as member of the European Management Committee to guarantee achievement of overall EMEA objectives
• Ensure adequate levels of qualified finance staff in area of responsibility and coach, council and drive development of country/regional finance managers and retain and further develop key talents in Finance
• Drive establishment and maintenance of local procedures and controls to assure integrity of assets and compliance with US and local GAAP and Abbott policies and procedures
• Ensure Abbott policy application, harmonizing into Abbott facilities, utilizing the service center, etc.
• Ensure compliance in performing the training as required by the training procedure
• Ensure compliance in reporting product experiences according to CRM requirement
