QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 3-5 years of proven experience as a Director of Finance, controller, finance manager or similar role
• CPA designation or working towards qualification a requirement
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities; capable of handling multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
• Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
• Excellent organizational with an ability to prioritize important tasks
• Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen
• Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long-standing business relationships
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
• Outstanding communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation
• Deadline-orientated with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software (e.g., ADP, QBo) is an asset.

The Finance Director role is a role for a dynamic and results-driven professional who will provide strategic leadership in the areas of finance, administration, and information technology in accordance with Habitat for Humanity Niagara strategic directions, Mission, Vision, and Values.
