Description:
EDUCATION /CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Valid Class G Driver’s License is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Level II security clearance is required.
- Ability to pass a Pre-employment Alcohol & Drug Test.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERENCE
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the facility management or real estate sector.
- Extensive experience in financial management, preferably within the real estate or facility management sectors.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven track record of optimizing financial performance and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Experience in project management and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
- Responsible for ensuring the efficient management of residential, commercial, and/or industrial properties. The primary goal is to maximize occupancy rates and rental income by implementing effective property management policies and procedures.
- Close collaboration with the local management team to execute projects, monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations, and ensure the ultimate success of the program.
- Pivotal in driving the financial success and operational efficiency of our property management initiatives.
- Ownership of Expenditure Management and Revenue Collection.
- Ensure compliance with all Serco Canada Inc. policies and procedures, including but not limited to Code of Conduct and Ethics, Serco Management System, PDR’s, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize property management operations.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with local management teams to oversee project execution and assess its impact on the overall program.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards and submit any non-conformance reports as required.
- Submit reports Payable/Receivable, Year End and other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide financial guidance and support to the property management team.
- Maintain strong working relationships with key external stakeholders collaborate with corporate groups and other external stakeholders.
- Other related duties relevant to this position as may be required.
- Comply with all regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to the operations including occupational health and safety, environmental, drug and alcohol, and quality.
- When required, cross-train peer(s) to complete relevant tasks (e.g. vacation coverage, perform Acting duties.
