The role
We are looking for a highly dynamic and business savvy individual to join us as Finance Executive at our busy Airport Hotel.
As an integral member of the Finance Team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you are assisting in ensuring that all accounting transactions covering various activities of the business are fully, accurately and properly recorded in accordance with policies, local regulations and general accounting standards.
Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Assist in managing daily accounting and reporting functions for hotel and management companies
Assist fortnightly payroll processing and year end processing
Assist with annual budget
Maintain contract register
Assist the Finance Manager to ensure the Finance/Cost Control and Purchasing Departments operate effectively and efficiently
Assist with month end reporting and posting journals for hotel and management companies
Requirements
Ideal candidate will likely possess extensive working knowledge of accounting procedures, with experience in Finance in a hospitality environment, and who are eager to develop your career into a Hotel Accountant.
The role will require good written and spoken English, a pleasant attitude that supports team work environment.
Proficiency with Opera and Sun Systems accounting systems
Experience with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and Word
Strong analytical and numerical skills, possessing a high attention to detail
Good understanding of hotel operations
Degree qualified is essential with some experience in the same or similar role
