Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Finance Intern, who will help Candi to lead the revolution of solar. Given that Candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and a new way of thinking.

Specifically, the job requires taking ownership of the following for the South African team:

  • Ensuring accuracy and completeness in our financial records to support seamless operations
  • Assisting with loading payments on the accounting system and helping ensure smooth, timely pay runs
  • Managing monthly invoicing and statements, playing a key role in our cash flow process
  • Taking charge of accounts receivable management and collections, ensuring we stay on top of incoming funds
  • Performing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations on major accounts to keep everything balanced and on track
  • Generating insightful reports that guide cost analysis and supporting all departments
  • Overseeing Inventory: Keeping our inventory system in perfect order and up to date
  • Tracking, managing, and maintaining our asset register
  • Driving the close process: leading the charge on month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations for a seamless wrap-up
  • Staying on top of compliance: updating and managing company secretarial and statutory documents
  • Liaising with auditors and assisting with the annual audit process

Location: Johannesburg
Duration: 12 month internship
Hours: Full-time (combined with working from home)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Strong academic record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Prior work experience is a plus, though not required
