Description:
We are looking for an analytical, pro-active, and commercially savvy Finance Manager to join our eCommerce Europe Performance Management team in Amsterdam – with a focus on Sales & Margin.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of digital ecosystem
- Strong analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources
- Result driven, pro-active and a strong sense of ownership
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to information requests from different stakeholders

- Advanced MS Office skills, especially MS Excel is a must

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years professional experience
- University degree in Business Administration / Finance / Controlling
- Professional accounting designation, and experience in Sales & Margin controlling are seen as a plus
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION:
Provide holistic Sales & Margin performance management support to the eCommerce business in Europe; create transparency about business performance and partner on an ad-hoc basis with the creation and evaluation of business cases. This position will help driving execution of the company’s strategy, as well as short term tactical decisions to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the end-to-end financial forecast process for Sales & Margin and collaborate with business partners across channels during IBP bottom-up planning.
- Perform Sales & Margin month-end closing according to group policies and guidelines.
- Create transparency about business performance and identify risks and opportunities by:
- Contributing to communication packages that transparently present results.
- Developing and monitoring KPIs for ad hoc, short- and long-term planning and bringing responsibility into the business (financial and non-financial).
- Identifying key issues & opportunities, drawing conclusions, and providing solid recommendations and solutions.
- Show initiative to creatively approach new subjects, pro-actively drive & analyze related business processes.
- Ensure smooth operation of the day-to-day business by taking ownership for related actions.
- Provide finance support and partner up with business partners on an ad-hoc basis for business cases.
- Identify opportunities to design and build tools and dashboards to improve day-to-day processes.
- Team-up with GBS colleagues to define sustainable processes and support with handovers.

Sales & Margin controlling and bottom-up forecast planning:
- Market / Cluster: Europe
- Sales channel: eCommerce
- Dimensions: Sales & Margin, ad-hoc business cases touching full eCom P&L
- Processes: Month-end closing, Forecasting, Latest Estimate, Budgeting, etc.
- Duties: Monthly standard reporting and planning; Monthly and quarterly closing; Ad hoc analysis and reporting.
