Description:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
  • Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
  • Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

    What is the role?
    In this key role, you will be the finance partner and trusted advisor to a strategic area of the EU Surface Transportation network. Using data, you will help develop and enhance business performance shaping long-term carrier strategy. You will collaborate closely with various operations and finance teams.
    Our business partners trust us and rely on our analytical expertise. Big decisions are made collaboratively, through data driven debates. If you enjoy making sense of ambiguous data, can efficiently partner with the business to solve complex problems, able to effectively influence without authority and love to innovate to benefit our customers, we love to have you join us!

Key job responsibilities

  • Own finance support for defining EU ATS carrier strategy
  • Analyze, at times, ambiguous datasets to drive strategic insights, leveraging existing financial models and building new solutions, where none existed before
  • Work independently to deliver results
  • Drive continuous finance process improvements through standardization and automation
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships, leveraging data to influence decision-making, helping our business partners to shape and deliver their goals

In addition to the areas of responsibility mentioned above, you will also:

  • Collaborate with and learn from leaders who have achieved extraordinary results working backwards from customers
  • Mentor junior team members across finance organization
  • Drive innovation and learn through experimentation (it is always Day 1!)
  • Influence our sustainability and societal initiatives and join one of many affinity groups focused on diversity, inclusion, and equity.
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Power Query, Python)
  • Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
