Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our finance team at a pivotal time. As a Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a team of five, working closely with the Head of Financial Reporting. You will be responsible for coordinating and delivering key financial processes, including monthly accounting returns, key balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls.
In this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders both within and outside the Trust to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. You will also take the lead in the preparation and analysis of the statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and be a key contact in the external audit process.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the reconciliation, production and prompt clearing of balance sheet accounts and aligning financial reporting processes with the Trust’s reporting timetable. You will drive the monthly reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data within the agreed timescales.

To deliver high quality financial reporting services which achieve targets for timeliness accuracy and financial control
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting systems within the Trust. Develop and implement robust financial policies and procedures to enhance reporting practices. Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors and counter-fraud teams
To lead the month end process for financial accounts and reporting to external agencies, and to assist in the production of the Trust Annual Accounts and the external audit process
