An opportunity has arisen to become an integral member of the Financial Operations team at Giacom. This role is aligned to the Billing and Platforms areas of Giacom and is initially a fixed term contract of 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
As Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include the overseeing of the end-to-end finance operations, financial analysis and balance sheet reconciliations whilst looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Operations, you’ll work alongside other Senior Finance colleagues to support the management of the wider group’s accounting processes and deliver timely and accurate monthly and annual reporting, whilst working to engage and motivate the wider finance team through the transformation of the Group’s accounting processes and ways of working around the Groups Netsuite system.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (Part Qual/QBE would be considered). Be prepared to be ‘hands on’ and get into the numbers.
- Some team management experience with the ability to provide support and guidance.
- High attention to detail and accuracy whilst working autonomously and managing own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Advanced IT skills particularly around system procedure and process review.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build and develop effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:
- Support in the development of the Groups monthly financial close processes.
- Drive the continuous improvement of accounting practices.
- Balance Sheet ownership highlighting any risks within
- Support in the development of the Group’s operational finance control processes, ensuring controls operate effectively and that Balance Sheet risks are understood.
- Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
- Support in the analysis and understanding of monthly reported numbers.
- Managing the end-to end audit process of systems whilst acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
