YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role, ideally within the professional services industry.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Proven team leadership experience with the ability to drive a positive, inclusive and high performing culture.
• Excellent communication skills and business partnering capability to provide financial analysis and recommendations with senior stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis with excellent Excel skills.
• Strong problem solving capabilities and management of multiple, often competing, priorities and deadlines.

We’re looking for a new Finance Manager to join our Auckland office. As our Finance Manager, you’ll be leading financial and management reporting, providing key insights into financial reporting at a strategic level and leading a small team to maintain a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of 4 responsible for management reporting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and leadership to provide financial advice and insights, including identifying financial trends to drive strong commercial outcomes.
• Proactively recommend actions to improve financial systems, policies, and processes.
• Manage the month-end close process, including preparation and review of management reporting, commentary, monitoring of performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Lead the preparation of financial reporting for inclusion within the Head of Finance report to the Board.
• Lead the engagement with external auditors during the year-end process, including overseeing the preparation of financial statements to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies in financial processes and systems.
• Support the Head of Finance and Leadership Team by participating in strategic projects and initiatives to enhance business performance and effectiveness.
