THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to actively engage in all aspects of financial management, from ledger maintenance to strategic financial planning. The successful candidate will oversee financial reporting, compliance, and risk management, while also playing a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy and ensuring long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Manage the purchase ledger and oversee payment processes
  • Create, manage, and track budgets and forecasts to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Oversee cash flow management and assist with annual budgeting and funding requirements
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis to uncover trends, variances, and potential improvement areas
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and audit obligations
  • Compile monthly payroll data, work closely with HR and international payroll providers, and manage pension submissions
  • Collaborate with senior management to shape and execute financial strategies that align with company goals
  • Act as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to safeguard company assets
  • Lead efforts to enhance financial systems and improve processes

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Strong proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills
  • A solid understanding of UK financial regulations and standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to contribute to the company’s direction
