WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Finance Manager, reporting directly to the CEO, to join a rapidly growing international FinTech. The person shall drive financial analysis and reporting by providing actionable insights and supporting strategic decision-making. Passionate about getting a detailed understanding of the business with strong focus on facts & figures to ensure proper financial modeling and forecasting for the business initiatives. The Finance Manager shall oversee the InvestSuite group finance domain and will work closely with the management team of the company, key business stakeholders and investors.
The candidate must live in Belgium, preferably near Leuven. We do not support an expat package.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Economics
• Belgian GAAP
• 5+ years of experience in finance position, best if in the area of private equity / fintech / tech scale-up
• Expertise in building financial models and performing financial analysis (advanced skills in MS Excel)
• Knowledge of the financial processes such as month and year end closing, budgeting, periodical reporting
• Experience in working in an international team
• Deeply analytical problem-solver
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence decision makers

• Understand the key drivers of B2B business growth to support management and investors with the insightful information. Work closely with key business owners to align on the strategy and define the metrics for the business.
• Perform financial forecasting of the business growth (including conversion rate, revenues, burn rate, runway) and analysis for new initiatives, products, markets. Develop and maintain best modeling tools to ensure capturing main business assumptions.
• Report financial performance (cash flow, income statement) and key metrics (such as leads, recurring revenues, burn rate, unit economics, lifetime value of customer) for the group. Analyze variances to budget and forecast and provide actionable insights.
• Lead budgeting process (revenues, costs, funding) and support setting short and long-term targets for the business.
• Lead the annual financial statement process for the group.
• Oversee the accounting teams for the group entities.
• Search for opportunities to improve business profitability and report them proactively to the management.
• Search for improvements in the financial and business processes that could influence efficiency and savings.
