Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Fully understand IVCC’s finance strategy, its purpose and internal/external stakeholders involved in its implementation
  • Facilitate the integration of the new finance system (OneFinance) and work with the IVCC finance team, administrators and project managers to leverage the capabilities of the system
  • Maintain a structure of project reporting that enables the tracking and reporting of activity against all projects and grants
  • Facilitate the development of automated reports, strong financial controls and risk management
  • Conduct a regular review of expenditure across designated accounts for corporate reporting, in conjunction with variance analysis by budget line, to confirm progress, gain understanding of any anomalies and take action to remedy any issues arising
  • Report on IVCC’s cash flow in relation to designated projects
  • Monitor funders’ financial requirements to ensure compliance
  • Verify and approve partner payments as required
  • Develop strong links to designated portfolio teams, departments and project teams to support their financial requirements
  • Support the Senior Finance Manager in the delivery of annual budgets, quarterly reforecasting exercises and 5-year strategic planning
  • Ensure maximisation of internal costs, core salaries and overheads
  • Implement and maintain KPI’s and metrics to monitor performance against strategic objectives
  • Support the finalisation of the financial aspects of grant submissions
  • Support the production of the financial sections to a range of funder reporting publications, including annual funder and grant progress reports
  • Undertake final reconciliations and close-down procedures on conclusion of individual grants and projects, in line with internal policies and procedures and funder obligations
