About the Team Hiring:
Our Finance Team is at the heart of the company’s financial health and regulatory compliance. We handle a wide range of financial responsibilities, from processing day-to-day transactions to overseeing the audited annual financial statements. Our team manages cash flow efficiently (A/P, A/R, etc.) in full alignment with Corporate Group Policies and local regulations, ensuring that our Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) remains low.
We provide monthly reporting to the Group, ensuring deadlines are met and performing in-depth analyses to explain results versus budget. Additionally, we collaborate closely with all departments—Sales, Operations, Technical, and more—to support the local business.
Overview:
As the Finance Manager for Germany, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the country, ensuring compliance with both local and group-level regulations. You will play a pivotal role as a business partner to the Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams, helping to shape and support strategic decision-making. Reporting to the Group HQ, you will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and solid control of all financial aspects of the business.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS):

  • Gross Margin, EBITDA, and DSO metrics.
  • Team management and retention (attrition rate).
  • Completion of audited financial statements without reservations.
  • Meeting monthly financial reporting deadlines.
  • Alignment and consistency in sales and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years demonstrating leadership and management capabilities (team management not required).
  • In-depth knowledge of German accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Software sector is a plus
  • Proven experience in group reporting within multinational or global organizations is a plus.
  • Track record of successfully managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and hands-on experience with Excel and any financial management software.
  • Datev experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English (proficiency in German is mandatory, French may be advantageous).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Adaptability, autonomy, and a strong collaborative spirit, with a drive for results and a positive attitude.
  • Experience working in a multinational or global organization is a plus.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team (or external financial resources).
  • Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and control analysis.
  • Oversee cash flow and cash management activities.
  • Manage year-end financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and foster relationships with banks and auditors.
  • Manage contracts (insurance, leases, etc.) according to Group policies.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Finance Team for alignment on financial policies and procedures.
  • Handle legal and corporate tasks, such as shareholder meetings, mergers, etc., with support from legal advisors.
  • Lead budget planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Drive the implementation of new Information Systems, optimizing financial processes.
  • Ensure internal controls are maintained and adhered to.
