Description:
We’re looking for a Finance Manager who is passionate about making a difference while honing their financial expertise, to join our friendly and collaborative team. In this vital role, you’ll take the lead in ensuring excellence in our financial processes and functions across the Foundation’s activities. With your unique blend of commercial and not-for-profit experience, you will review and enhance our financial administration, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices. You’ll also work closely with our team to identify and implement innovative improvements. This flexible part-time position (three days a week) offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrable experience of success in a similar financial management role
- Strong analytical skills
- Qualified with a recognised Accounting Body (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent) or QBE with 5+ years experience of management accounting
- Knowledge and experience of not for profit financial management is essential, charity SORP is desirable
- Experience of effective development and implementation of finance systems and reporting tools, ideally including Xero
- Experience of international finance and banking systems is desirable
- Can-do attitude with a hands on approach and the ability to drive and manage change
- Excellent communication skills with an ability and desire to build relationships and work across teams in support of the Foundation objectives
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience of managing and building the skills of junior team members
- Ability to think strategically and translate financial information into practical reality
- Desirable, working internationally
