Description:
Parramatta Leagues Club is seeking a results-driven and experienced Finance Manager, to lead a small high-performing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our accounting processes and reporting systems are efficient and proactively support business decision making. This crucial role will see you provide key financial analysis and strategic advice that will influence the financial trajectory of the business.
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage a team of 3 staff (Accountant, Assistant Accountant and Safe Operator)
- Assist the CFO to ensure the PLC operations are run efficiently and effectively by providing accurate financial information and advice
- Provide guidance and leadership to the Accounts Payable functions shared with PNRL
- Prepares thorough and detailed business cases to support project requests based on strong financial analysis
- Able to translate complex financial information in communications with department managers
- Prepare and coordinate the Parramatta Leagues Club Group Budget and quarterly Forecasting process
- Monthly reporting and managing the accounts team in month-end tasks
- Monitoring cash flow and managing financial risks, maintaining adequate liquidity at all times.
- Proposes changes to processes to improve cost efficiency and continuous improvement
- Proactively ensure the business is compliant, assisting in audit reports, tax reports, ABS surveys and other adhoc compliance related tasks
