Description:

Robert Half’s trusted manufacturing client is seeking a Finance Manager consultant for a long-term / contract to hire engagement. This onsite position is located in Warren, MI and will report directly to the Director of Finance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET:

  • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance-related role
  • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
  • Ability to manage all Accounting Functions
  • Experienced in Budget Processes
  • Knowledgeable in Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Familiar with Plant Operation process
  • Capable of handling Month End Close procedures
  • Skilled in Analyzing Variance
  • Experience with the Epicor ERP system is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
  • Ability to strategize and make sound decisions that favor the company
  • Demonstrable leadership abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
  • Provide operational departments with performance analysis and financial statement variances
  • Develop and oversee budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and prepare account reconciliations
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Fixed Asset, and Accounts Payable subledgers
  • Handle both complex and non-complex regulatory reporting tasks
  • Participate in the operations of a manufacturing facility
  • Implement and improve internal controls
  • Conduct cost accounting and manage local and state taxation
  • Support financial and internal control audits
  • Supervise accounting personnel and participate in the selection and hiring process
  • Handle treasury and banking activities such as disbursements and credit compliance
  • Provide decision support for new business quotes, make vs. buy, and lease vs. buy decisions
  • Utilize formal problem-solving techniques and manage financial cycles such as billing-collections and purchasing-payables.
