Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager of APAC Surgical Vision (“SV”) Cluster, the primary responsibility of this role includes providing financial stewardship, budgetary ownership to improve financial literacy and forecast accuracy, distributor management, and maintaining a compliant operating environment for 2 business a) Surgical Vision (SV) SEA markets b) APAC (CTS) Customer & Technical Service Team.

  • Vision Finance Leadership team
  • APAC Customer and Technical Service Leadership team

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Provide finance leadership to SV SEA & CTS team
  • Understand risks and opportunities of SV SEA & CTS business performance
  • Analyze and provide commentary on actual results and forecasting assumptions
  • Ensure business partners have appropriate finance knowledge for financial transactions
  • Lead business planning cycles and build robust financial forecasts
  • Challenge business assumptions and educate partners on financial issues
  • Engage with the business to achieve key financial metrics
  • Review and validate business models in line with guidelines
  • Set up and update deal models and processes as needed
  • Support business negotiations with customers and distributors
  • Review contracts and ensure compliance with relevant internal stakeholders.

Compliance

  • Take a proactive role in shaping and upholding compliance standards
  • Ensure adequate documentation and alignment with guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and maintain distributor processes in line with compliance requirements

Commercial Go-to-Market Model Changes

  • Support initiatives to evaluate and implement changes in go-to-market model within the region.
  • Be the voice of finance regarding associated operational changes required to support changes in go-to-market model.

Execution

  • Promote efficient and streamlined processes across SV SEA & CTS teams
  • Focus on improving forecasting accuracy
  • Ensure proper revenue recognition for contracts and collaborate with relevant departments on deal arrangements

Talent Development

  • Support various activities related to Vision Finance mission, including training, mentorship, and team empowerment
  • Focus on building a strong talent pipeline through effective succession planning
  • Encourage collaboration, creativity, and idea sharing within the team
  • Foster a culture of unity and improve communication among Finance tiers in J&J
  • Provide support for DE&I initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in Accountancy/Finance). A minimum of 10 + years of finance business experience is required.
  • Strong business knowledge of Vision Industry
  • Ability to navigate and be effective in a highly complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence business partners.
  • Strong communicator
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire and motivate organization.
