REQUIREMENTS:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Ideally the candidate will have manufacturing experience
- Ideally the candidate will have people management experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Must be highly numerate with experience working in excel
- Confident in presenting to and influencing stakeholders
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Finance Manager at THG Labs you will have the autonomy to develop and run the finance team. This is a broad role where you can implement, make improvements and manage the whole site from a finance perspective, allowing you to advance in the role quickly. At THG Labs, we are a close-knit team and work closely together so you will feel part of a community. The role will be wide ranging with lots to implement and work on including factory performance, stock and audit processes, where you will be the main point of contact for external auditors. You will have the scope to drive efficiencies across all end to end accounting processes resulting in profit improvement across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full ownership of the profit and loss account, inclusive of accurate management of the results and robust forecast assumptions.
- To be able to constructively monitor and challenge factory performance, ensuring targets are met and variances are understood.
- To ensure overheads are reviewed each month with cost centre managers, cost improvements are challenged and implemented
- Leading the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and presenting findings to the Finance Director.
- Business partner with key stakeholders on profit improvement strategies. Ability to control, challenge and review periodic progress accordingly.
- People Management of FTE staff
- Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
- Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors.
