Description:
Are you looking to continue your Finance Administration role in a well-established, successful and growing South Australian business? Do you have experience in Accounts Receivable? Do you enjoy working with people and have great communications skills?
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and energetic Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team at Edinburgh North.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold from the business, maintain customer accounts, and ensure that payments are being received when due.
A key focus of this role is to reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies and liaise with customers about outstanding payments owed.
Responsibilities:
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Create customer accounts and make sure all necessary checks are completed as per the procedure.
- Maintain aged receivable report and provide updates to all stakeholders regarding overdue accounts.
- Post daily deposits and customer allocations.
- Process incoming mail concerning billing and invoicing.
- Communicate with clients about billing discrepancies and questions make sure necessary corrections are completed.
- Engage management over any AR problems encountered.
- Initiate collections on past-due accounts
- Report long overdue accounts to Credit Watch and Lawyers to issue demand letters.
- Maintain customer accounts as required.
- Audit customer accounts to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing addresses, payment terms etc.
- Continuously adhere to Barossa Fine Foods Values, Objectives, Policies and Procedures
TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Sound data entry and administration experience.
- Working knowledge of AR principles, practices, and regulations
- Must be effective in time management and written/verbal communications.
- Must have well developed computing skills in basic Office type software plus an ability to comprehend data presented electronically.
- Ability to be able to change and adapt to customer and business needs.
- Be able to work under pressure and to a deadline.
- Previous experience in Smallgoods, Food processing, Manufacturing, or a similar industry preferred.
