Description:

Client Financial Services is looking to recruit two individuals with substantial experience of managing a complex finance function to the post of Finance Officer. Applicants should have an in depth understanding of Care Act legislation in relation to Adult Social Care funding and charging and be able to support the development of robust financial policies.
The Finance Officer will have the ability to establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will use your relationships and skills in supporting efficient and creative solutions to maximise income collection.
Candidates should have good ICT skills and the proven ability to use their initiative and judgement to resolve problems. Applicants must be customer focused and effective communicators who are able to provide information and advice to the public and colleagues within the Council. Good literacy and numerical skills, the ability to analyse financial information and to process that data quickly and accurately are essential.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate an excellent track record in their ability to support and manage others and develop professional autonomy and accountability. You will be responsible for the management of performance including delivering on outcomes identified within council and departmental plans.
We are looking for individuals who are motivated, enthusiastic and who embrace ongoing improvement and development as there will be significant system, business, and cultural changes to support. This post will develop these in relation to various IT systems for the collection and manipulation of financial information from clients, the maintenance and development of successful charging regimes and anticipated changes to the Care Act.
Posts will be based at County Hall but post holders will be required to work flexibly which may involve working from home as well as in the office.
