Summary

At Lidl & Kaufland Asia, our Finance Team works closely with local and regional colleagues.   • Assisting the Finance Manager in performing duties related to finance and treasury
  • Preparing, verifying and executing timely and accurate payment runs
  • Liaising with suppliers and banks regarding payment queries
  • Creating management reports to support the treasury function
  • Adhere to internal controls and guidelines, safeguarding corporate assets

What you’ll do

  • Prepare daily payment runs/instructions for multiple countries
  • Execute special payment requests for operational purposes
  • Process cheque requests (invoice check, obtaining signatures, distribution)
  • Prepare necessary documents for Letter of Credit issuance, amendment and/or discrepancies, as well as allocation and utilization reports
  • Liaise with Suppliers and Banks regarding all payment queries
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate, and correct discrepancies
  • Daily bank statement uploads to accounting and treasury systems
  • Bank posting and reconciliation
  • Financial reporting and cash-flow management
  • Input foreign exchange hedging requests into the treasury system
  • Perform month-end and financial year-end closing tasks
  • Participate in ad-hoc finance and treasury tasks and projects

What you’ll need

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study, CPA/ACCA would be a plus
  • Minimum 5 years work experience with 3 years in a related function
  • Experience in performing a similar function in the banking/supply chain/FMCG industry highly desirable
  • Strong analytical mind with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a keen eye for details
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese to liaise with English and/or Chinese speaking only stakeholders
  • Experience in SAP financial accounting software is an advantage
