Finance Officer:
MEDLOG is the inland logistics arm of MSC Group. The company operates worldwide and provides door-to-door transport and logistics services, using a network of trucks, trains, barges, depots, terminals, and warehouses.
In this context of hyper-growth, MEDLOG Nigeria is looking to recruit a Finance Officer. This role is an entry level role in the finance department that Computes, classifies, and summarizes petty cash expenses, reimbursements, claims, disbursement etc. for projects and for the office to make sure payment amounts, records and supporting documents are correct.
About The Opportunity
This role ensures availability of cash all the time with 100% accuracy of disbursement and posting while considering the compliance with internal controls and policies
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure audits are closed and processed in efficient manners, without any findings.
- Ensure availability of cash and all times with accurate disbursement
- Work with the internal tool and SAP to digitalize and increase the efficiency of the payment process.
- Reconciling and submitting cash reports of all locations assigned.
- Ensure to upload terminal and shipping payments on time without delay and bank sweep are done before expected time frame.
- Follow up with Refund Team to ensure all necessary claims are refunded for excess days in all rated invoices.
- Set invoices up for payment in SAP.
- Daily/weekly/monthly processing of accounts payable to ensure accurate and timely processing of clearing vendor invoices.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of accounting tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Numeracy Skill
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
- Minimum 1 - 2 Years of Experience in Account/Finance
- Clearing, Transport and Logistics Understanding
