Description:
FINANCE OFFICER (PART-TIME)
Responsible to: Finance Manager
Hours: 15 hours per week
Salary: £27,810 full-time equivalent (£11,274 actual)
Place of work: Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2QB
Pension: 8% Employer’s Contributory Pension subject to meeting auto enrolment criteria
Annual leave: 14.5 days (including pro-rata bank holidays entitlement) based on a 2-day working week.
This role is subject to a 3-month probationary period.
The Finance Officer will assist in the day-to-day accounting of financial transactions (income & expenditure) for Birmingham Cathedral.

Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer will have a wide range of duties. These will include but are not limited to the following.
- Responsible for the sales and purchase ledger.
- Complete the monthly reconciliations for credit cards.
- Undertake all credit control duties.
- Support the Finance Manager with record keeping and tracking project budgets.
- Support the work of the finance department (data entry, liaising with colleagues,
general finance admin, meeting month end process timetable deadlines) and this
work will be determined by the needs of the Finance Manager.
- Support with bank reconciliation.
- Responsible for occasional support with cash handling, counting, banking and
reconciliation of petty cash.
- Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required by Chapter to
support the mission and ministry of the cathedral.
