Western Private Hospital (WPH), is a boutique private hospital servicing the West of Melbourne with the provision of acute services, which has 62 inpatient beds.
WPH’s facilities include four Operating Theatres, CSSD, Day Stay Unit, Day Oncology Unit, Eleanor Overnight Ward for CCU, HDU & Surgical patients, Cardiac Catheter Laboratory, Specialist Consulting Suites, Nuclear Medicine Department and supported by pathology, pharmacy, radiology and radiation therapy services.

About the Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer with a focus on Accounts Receivable to join our Finance Team based on-site in Footscray.
The role will include an exciting mix of finance duties and will contribute to the overall efficiency and financial well-being of Western Private Hospital through –
timely and accurate processing of accounts receivable invoices and reconciling statements
following up on outstanding debtors – tenants, consulting room fees, patients, private health funds, other health service providers
maintaining the aged trial balance to agreed KPIs
Karisma receipting and accounts follow up
processing receipting of payments and bank statement reconciliations
preparing weekly finance report
preparing month end journals, inc. payroll, workcover, prepayments
assisting and backing up accounts payable function
assisting with balance sheet reconciliation
undertaking other finance functions as required, eg. reporting, fixed asset register, filing, month end processes
working cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team, exchanging information and assisting other team members to achieve team objectives and work outcomes
participating in the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal billing systems, processes and work practices; identifying and reporting areas for improvement and recommending and implementing enhancements to existing practices
This is a permanent part-time position working a minimum of 3 days across Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, there is some flexibility in days worked however Friday is a must.
