THE POSITION | ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a Finance and Operations Manager to partner with our CFO in managing key functions across finance, HR, compliance and office management, driving both growth and regulatory compliance. Your role will encompass leading key projects, optimizing processes, managing risks and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will also support HR and office management with an active, hands-on approach.
You bring 3 to 5 years of experience in FinTech or finance, with a strong background in financial operations such as cash and risk management. You are fluent in English and French and have excellent organizational skills. In this role, you supervise 2 team members, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. Your dedication and curiosity will drive impactful projects and help build innovative solutions that shape the future of financial operations and interactions.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Execution: Work closely with the CFO to help shape and implement our strategic vision and goals. You will be actively involved in leading and executing key projects and initiatives that support our growth. You will also be ready to tackle any challenges and issues that come up along the way.
- Operational Excellence: Manage and improve the finance, HR, compliance, and office management functions and team to ensure they run smoothly and effectively. Your role will involve simplifying and optimizing processes, boosting productivity and implementing strong controls to ensure accuracy and compliance. You will take a proactive approach to solving problems and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Play a key role in enhancing, managing and implementing our risk and compliance framework, with a focus on compliance that both meets regulatory requirements and serves a purpose. This includes conducting thorough KYC/AML checks, reviewing due diligence for clients and suppliers, and making sure all processes follow regulatory requirements. You will be in charge of creating, updating, and improving company policies and procedures. You will also address any issues found by internal and external audits and take corrective actions to ensure transparency and integrity.
- Financial Integrity, Reporting, and Analysis: Show a commitment to keeping our accounting and financial reporting systems reliable and accurate. Support the CFO in producing high-quality financial information that guides our decision-making and ensures our financial health. You will be essential in developing and managing the annual budget, performing regular financial analysis and forecasting, and providing valuable insights and recommendations. You will aim for precision and continuous improvement in our financial operations and strategic planning.
- Staff Support and Office Management: Provide support to HR functions and office management with a focus on creating a positive and supportive work environment. Assist the CFO in carrying out HR processes such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, making these processes more efficient. Also, help with office management tasks to ensure a well-organized and efficient workspace.
