The Finance Department of Moxa Europe is seeking an Finance Specialist - Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team in Munich, near Leuchtenbergring. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of finance and accounting processes for our European entities in Germany, the UK, and our subsidiary in France. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to maintain accurate vendor records, efficiently process payment runs, and support audit activities. This position plays a vital role in upholding the financial integrity and stability of our organization.
Qualifications:
- Completed business education such as financial accountant, tax clerk or comparable
- Min. 3-5 years working experience in overall Finance & Accounting or tax office
- Proven track record of self-dependent financial annual closings is a plus
- Further Financial Accountant certifications are a plus
- Structured approach to work and understanding of complex accounting issues
- Strong analytical ability, a high degree of accuracy and quality awareness
- Discreet handling of confidential accounting documents and data
- Very good collaboration skills but also an independent working style and high motivation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (C1) & German (min. B1); additional languages are a plu
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of day-to-day accounting tasks, process and book incoming vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Overseeing the review, approval, and booking of travel expenses and credit card transactions
- Preparing, processing and managing payment runs, addressing any discrepancies as they arise
- Maintaining vendor records and reconciling vendor statements to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Handling AP-related queries from internal stakeholders and external vendors
- Handling Fixed Asset Accounting, Payroll Accounting and Preparing VAT returns for France and the UK
- Assisting in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations
- Providing documentation and support during internal and external audits
- Contributing to cross-functional projects of Moxa Management
- Working closely with the General Ledger (GL) accountant to ensure accurate coding of invoices and financial records, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring smooth operations
