REQUIREMENTS

You are the ideal person for this job if you:

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Have at least 1-2 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance; accounting and/or audit is highly appreciated (non-graduated profiles with proven experience in accounting working fields will be assessed as well)
  • Have a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, corporate laws and regulations in a multinational framework
  • Have a strong understanding of bookkeeping practice
  • Have proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures, financial records and data set
  • Have superb organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Are tech savvy and have the ability to quickly master new tools and platforms
  • Have a passion for Empatica’s products and mission
  • Have resilience, a get-things-done attitude, and an innate desire to do great work

Responsibilities:

As Finance Specialist you will be part of the Finance, Accounting and Tax team, a key area for the company’s success. You will work together with the Finance Director and other team members to ensure that all daily corporate, financial, accounting and controlling initiatives are diligently performed. Alongside these activities, you will also have the opportunity to make an impact with your contribution in challenging non-recurring activities.

In addition, working together with other OPS Team members, you will:

  • Support the financial statements closing and audit process, under a multinational framework, including the preparation of materials and coordination with the external audit team
  • Prepare periodical reports for the management team
  • Contribute to design and carry-out internal control system and operations
  • Reconcile cash & cash equivalents and other accounts ensuring proper classification/documentation
  • Perform data analysis
  • Execute day-to-day accounting activities of the company including monthly close, accounts receivable, payable expenses, allocations and more
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, sales, product, engineering, HR, as well as external consultants if needed
