We are looking for a Finance Specialist to join our team in Sentura, Mexico City.

What you will do

  • Deliver Order to Cash services, mainly around collections with customers, and support general Working Capital and Accounts Receivable management. Ensure compliance of the defined internal controls in the Order to Cash process.
  • Work in close cooperation with our Global Financial Services Teams, the Latin American Sales Team, Customer Service as well as Business Control and will have significant customer exposure.
  • Identify and drive continuous quality and efficiency improvement in the Order to Cash processes in the Americas and contribute to a modern and sophisticated Working Capital Management.
  • Carry out routine collection of overdue receivables and support in handling escalated collection in cooperation with internal stakeholders, such as Sales and Customer Service, as well as external partners.
  • Support the carrying out of customer risk assessment in close co-operation with UPM’s Credit Risk Management Team in Helsinki, Finland.
  • Support incoming payment allocation and ensure clean balances in Accounts Receivable.
  • Learn our systems and become a key user providing invoicing support, troubleshooting, and error management for Billing.

    Who you are

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

  • You have familiarity with Latin American tax regulations, specifically Argentina, Chile, and Mexico
  • You have 5+ years collections experience and 2-3 years experience with business-to-business credit
  • You have excellent communication skills with a high English proficiency and feel confident to discuss collection topics with our customers while always maintaining a professional attitude.
  • You are a real team player who enjoys working with various different stakeholder groups and persons from across the world.
  • You are a solution-oriented analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset, have good self-leadership skills and can prioritize and organize your tasks according to deadlines and urgency independently.
  • You demonstrate high personal and professional integrity.
